What does my 2015 look like?

What does my 2015 look like?

I have no idea.  The last few years I feel like I’ve just been floating and flitting from thing to thing and never get anything that I want done.  So in 2015, Along with trying to get things just organized … but right now, and into January I’m really sitting down and trying to set some goals and write down what I would like to accomplish in 2015.  This is both from my personal and work life.  While part of me is whining about taking the time to do this task, it can’t be any worse than how I feel in that time between Christmas and New Years when I look back at the year and realize I did not accomplish anything meaningful or do the things around the house that need done (that towel bar for the bathroom is still sitting on the floor 2 years later uninstalled …..)

In 2014, I think i went through like 4 different planners, because I love planners, but I never got into one, and they really didn’t seem to help the whole “organization thing”.  Then again, a hammer just doesn’t magically hammer in those nails so I can’t blame the planners that  I tried out.

So I looked back in time and found a time when I felt more in control with things.  During that time I was using the Planner Pad.  They make a great product that I have used on and off more almost a decade now.  So, I went and bought another one and it was delivered a week or so ago.  I love the look and feel of new planners.  All the blank space to be filled with notes and tasks and all my hopes and dreams.

So right now I’m looking into the Getting Things Done system.  I know a lot of people have tried it and love it.  I know people personally who swear by it.  I figured take a look, take what I like and leave the rest.  What can it hurt?  I know I can’t be the only one who is totally confused and blarged with life and stumbling around looking for betterment.  ::Raises glass to all of you:: We can do this in 2015. I can do this in 2015.

* I purchased my Planner Pad all on my own.  I love their product and recommend it, but I have not been compensated in anyway for my opinions here.
